Get To Know Me
My history supporting people on their healing and growth journeys is a long one. Having known psychology was the path for me from a young age (I think I was 8 years old the first time it came up), I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then immediately went on to get my Master’s Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology while simultaneously working as a mental health and substance abuse counselor at an outpatient center.
After finishing my Master’s degree, I went on to start a private practice that eventually became an award-winning, seven therapist group practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Within the context of my practice, I specialized in guiding people beyond depression, anxiety, codependent attachment, and trauma as well as supporting folks through life transitions like career changes, physical moves, and relationship changes (break-ups, engagements, marriages, etc.).
In 2019, I shifted my focus away from my therapy practice and into the coaching space after feeling a very strong intuitive pull to make the transition. Since that time, I’ve supported thousands of people in improving their lives through the power of intentional thought and increasing mind/body awareness.
In addition to my psychology degrees, I also have 5 years of post-graduate training from the The Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and am a certified transformational coach and breathwork facilitator.
The last 6 years have been a whirlwind of change that have also included several geographic moves on both sides of the country; I currently live at the beach in Southern Virginia with my dog, Emmi, and cat, James Dean.
Integrative coaching is an approach to healing and growth that recognizes the powerful connection between mind and body. It draws on a variety of philosophies and techniques with roots in both traditional coaching and therapy as well as holistic approaches that connect you to ancient wisdom and sacred practices that offer grounding, peace, and deeper connection to both your body and the present moment.
Integrative Coaching
The focus of integrative coaching is to facilitate healing and growth on all levels, combining the power of process-oriented coaching (intentional talk to move you towards solutions) and mindset with the life-changing work of nervous system healing and regulation, somatic experiencing, and energetic awareness.
Throughout the course of your journey, you will experience the benefit of your expanding awareness and increasing insight with your improving nervous-system health and emotional regulation skills so that moments that once felt overwhelming or uncertain come into a calm, clear focus where you know exactly how to think, feel, and respond and the result is that life feels better.
Breathwork is one of the most powerful tools any of us have at our disposal. Whether you main priority is quieting your mind, regulating your nervous system, or improving your physical health, breathwork is the tool that will get you there.
Most people don’t realize they are breathing incorrectly all day long but the reality is, about 90% of the population is and the result is less health, less calm, and less clarity.
Breathwork is a practice of retraining your body to receive the best possible breath that it can and, in the process, it also shifts your nervous system into a regulated state and even clears old, pent up emotion that’s been quietly resting within your body.
There are many ways to practice breathwork ranging from slow breath designed to bring you all the way down to a state of deep relaxation to fast breathwork that activates and motivates. Regardless, each time you choose to intentionally work with your breath, it becomes an invaluable and sacred tool that guides you into a new experience of health, wellness, and inner peace.
